Fleischauer Brothers Landscaping LTD has been involved in the installation of mid-high end level residential, commercial, and municipal landscape construction for over 40 years, and our rapidly growing company is in search of a highly knowledgeable and experienced construction foreperson to join our team. We are an all year organization who offer a wide variety of services including landscape maintenance, landscape construction, landscape design and renderings, and snow/ice management. - **Landscape Construction Foreperson Description**_

A successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience within the landscape construction industry, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory, managerial, or progressively demanding position. The landscape construction foreperson is responsible for overseeing the completion of a variety of hardscape projects from inception to completion. These projects include, but are not limited to the installation of the following:

- Natural and prefabricated interlocking pavers
- Natural and prefabricated retaining walls
- Natural and prefabricated staircases
- Fire pits and stone seating
- Outdoor kitchens
- Waterfall features
- Tree and plant materials
- Soil, sodding, and seeding
- Fences
- Decks
- Pergolas
- **Landscape Construction Foreperson Duties**_

A successful applicant will be required to complete the following duties with a high degree of effectiveness and efficiency in order to ensure their team has a successful season. The potential duties may include but are not limited to:

- Manage the execution of various landscape construction projects, planning labour requirements, equipment requirements, and material deliveries to ensure completion of job(s) within predetermined project deadlines
- Manage health and safety standards both on and off the job site, including PPE standards
- Ensure projects are completed to our company standards
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the day to day work activities of 2 - 5 team members
- Delegate job tasks to the appropriate team members based on skill and experience
- Conduct on-site orientations with new employees and employees in new positions, which cover all company health and safety policies, practices, and procedures
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubrications, small repairs, and cleaning on a daily basis
- Read and interpret informal and formal blueprints, engineered schematics, and specifications to ensure an incredibly accurate installation
- Complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis, including incident reports, material purchasing, vehicle, trailer, and machine inspections, description of daily activities, etc.
- Comply with all company regulations, policies, procedures, and expectations
- **Equipment and Machinery Experience**_

A successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the following pieces of equipment and machinery:

- 1 ton to 5 ton pickup truck accompanied by an enclosed, dump, or float trailer.
- Compact and full size front end loader
- Compact and full size excavator
- Full size backhoe
- Full size skid steer
- Tracked power wheelbarrow
- A variety of compaction equipment
- Quick cut stone saw
- Laser levelling equipment
- Grading and elevation equipment
- Handheld power and manual tools

- **Education and Certifications**_
- Post-secondary school education in an applicable discipline, and/or an equivalent combination of secondary school education and acquired work experience
- A valid government issued G license with a clean driving abstract
- A clean criminal record check
- AZ and/or DZ licences would be considered an asset
- Heavy equipment operator certification would be considered an asset
- Working at heights certification would be considered an asset
- Health and safety and first aid training would be considered an asset
