**Term of Employment**:
Part-time position operating, 2 days per week

Potential for hours to increase during the on-season from May to October

**Description**:
Work alongside another bookkeeper to keep all bills and payments up to date

Create an expense list monthly to bring to management for cheques to be written

Assist with monitoring day-to-day and month-to-month budgeting

Keep bank statement detailing when cheques have been cashed

Collect contractors’ invoices and review with the other bookkeeper to ensure all invoices are processed

Gain a thorough understanding of the general day-to-day basic bookkeeping

Answer customer calls and be able to assist with general inquiries regarding the services we offer

**Job Requirements**:
Bookkeeping experience. (required)

QuickBooks experience. (required)

Accounting diploma. (preferred)

Degree, diploma or certification in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll, or related fields (asset)

A strong understanding of math and numbers.

Ability to assist further developing current bookkeeping procedures.

Legal to work in Canada.

Ability to communicate proficiently in English. Additional languages a benefit.

Ability to work a flexible schedule.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deal with customer tactfully and effectively.

Ability to work independently, asking for help when required.

Self-starter, take initiative, assess priorities, and multitask.

Ability to communicate with employees clear and effectively.

The soft skills to navigate through interprofessional conflicts.

Familiarity with the general principles of accounting.

The ability to work on multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.

Possess an appropriate amount of energy to get things done.

**Work Site Environment**:
Cookstown Aerodrome, Cookstown, Ontario

Airfield in a rural location.

Public transportation is not available

**Remuneration**:

**Salary**: From $18.50 per hour
