As a Combined Client Service Representative (CSR) and Veterinary Assistant (VA), you’ll be the friendly face that greets our clients and the skilled hand that supports our veterinary team. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations, compassionate care for our furry patients, and a stellar client experience that builds trust and loyalty.
**Requirements**:
A veterinary assistant diploma is requested; however, experienced applicants will also be considered
**What You'll Do**:
**Client Interaction**:
- Use Avimark to schedule appointments, check-in patients, manage admissions, prepare invoices, and handle payments.
- Address client inquiries about hospital policies, animal care, and pricing with professionalism and accuracy.
**Patient Care**:
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with medical treatments, including administering medications, acquiring lab samples, surgical prep, and radiology.
- Provide compassionate nursing care and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
- Promote key pet health messages and ensure effective communication between clients and the hospital team.
**Documentation**:
- Accurately document patient care and maintain electronic medical records.
**Facility Maintenance**:
- Keep reception, examination rooms, and treatment areas clean and well-stocked.
- Assist with general cleaning duties, including laundry, floors, trash, and recycling.
Pay: $16.00-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week
