VGC is seeking a **Construction Manager** to join our growing team at our head office in Vancouver.

Who You Are:

- Proactive individual who can manage competing projects under-pressure with a service-oriented disposition.
- Master of building relationships and resolving disputes with clients and sub-contractors thru integrity, trust and transparency.
- Excellent communicator both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated success in the monitor, control and report of construction projects including communication of schedule changes to clients and sub-contractors.
- Demonstrated success in ensuring/protecting company’s interests by managing the financial work scope of contracts.

Job Requirements:

- Monitor, co-ordinate and oversee the completion of multiple construction projects via on-site visits and using project management software tools.
- Collaborate with procurement, design and sales to ensure clear expectations of project timelines and task deadlines, to ensure the opening and closing of projects.
- Create and regularly maintain project schedule - communicate schedule changes with client and sub-contractors.
- Keep meeting minutes, daily logs, images of on-site progress, and weekly summary for clients.
- Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance to design, budget, Building Code, BOQ and estimate.
- Ensure sub-contractors are awarded work within estimate and scope of work, following company policy.
- Analyze risks and prepare preventative action.
- Resolve disputes between the company, subtrades and client.
- Co-ordinate with municipalities, utility companies, clients, consultants and other stakeholders.
- Identify required and optional changes in project scope.
- Negotiate change orders with the client and sub-contractors.
- Verify and approve sub-contractor invoices.
- Perform tasks associated with the closing of the job including reconciling vendor statements, tracking pending commitments, evaluating stats and possible resolutions and creating documentation to satisfy commitments.
- Ensure maintenance of a safe and clean-site.
- Knowledgeable of the BC Building Codes.
- A valid driver’s license and vehicle required for on-site client visits.

**Salary**: $55,000 to $65,000 per year + Project Competition Bonus + Profit sharing = Potential $95K + per year.

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
