Project Manager (Banking /Financial experience) - Contract position in Burnaby (hybrid):
On behalf of our client in
**Burnaby, Ignite Technical Resources** is looking for a
**Senior Project Manager** to join their team for a
**6-month contract** opportunity with strong potential of an extension.

**Role Description**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Work with business areas through the organization, including Information Technology, to lead the planning and implementation of projects
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, deliverables and tasks
- Define resource requirements, coordinate availability with business areas and IT to manage project resource allocation
- Develop, monitor and control project timelines
- Manage project budgets
- Provide direction and support to project teams, including project managers or project leaders in large initiatives
- Work closely with external vendors
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to stakeholders
- Implement and manage project changes, issues and risks
- Complete project evaluations and assessment of results
- Define and develop business requirements when required
- Complete test strategy and plan documentation and issue tracking when required.

**Requirements**:

- Project Management Professional (PMP) is a definite asset
- 7+ years’ experience in technology/business projects as a successful project manager
- Previous financial services industry experience is a definite asset
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute large projects on time and on budget.

**Nice-to-have**:

- Provide recommendations on design and planning of our client’s network
- Install and configure network hardware and related software
- Document, implement and maintain network standards, making any upgrades or changes
- Support network security by configuring network devices according to security
