Chiropodist

With 40+ years of experience, BioPed has become a standard of excellence in alleviating foot and lower limb related discomfort. Today, we operate more than 80 full-service and satellite clinics in British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Ontario. Our full-service clinics offer the Chiropodist and their patients the benefit of an on-site laboratory for orthotic fabrication and modifications. BioPed employs Pedorthists, Chiropodists and Nurses, who work together in synergy for the benefit of the patient.

BioPed Scarborough is eager to hire a Chiropodist.

Duties include the assessment and treatment of foot conditions; including, but not limited to, diabetic foot care, nail care, biomechanical assessments, custom orthotic casting and dispensing, wound care, measuring for and dispensing compression stockings, procedures such as PNA/TNA/soft tissue lesion excisions, the provision of foot care products and footwear. The Chiropodist is expected to work well in a team environment and must be willing to learn. We are happy to provide further education on compression, procedures or orthotic fabrication if desired.

**Requirements**:
1. We are seeking an enthusiastic, competent, motivated, patient-focused Chiropodist, who confidently works independently but is excited to collaborate with their colleagues in a clinic environment.

2. New graduates are welcome to apply. Experience is an asset.
- Have valid registration and be in good standing with the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO).
- Have BOTH prescription and injection privileges per the COCOO.
- Have or be willing to obtain appropriate Chiropody insurance per their license.
- Have regular access to a reliable vehicle, which they are insured for.
- Be willing to travel if full-time hours are requested.
- Be both punctual and reliable.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess valid CPR.

4. Marketing experience is an asset but not a requirement.

5. The positions require availability of 2-5 days per week. There is both a full-time and part-time opportunity available.
