Medical Information Intern

The Medical Information Intern is a medical science professional who provides high-level clinical communications and support to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and assists in optimizing medical information delivery to customers.
This 6-month internship (January 2025 to June 2025) is a flexible hybrid position with 3 days/week onsite (Toronto) and 2 days/week remote (37.5 hours/week total).

Major Responsibilities:
- Research and prepare written responses summarizing clinical literature on Johnson & Johnson medicinal products
- Respond to product-related medical and scientific inquiries from HCPs, consumers/patients, sales representatives, and other internal customers
- Work closely with business partners in the development and implementation of departmental projects and initiatives
- Deliver scientific support as required in training of new business partners on product-specific knowledge
- Identify and report adverse events and product complaints for marketed products according to internal procedures and timelines established in standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Support departmental, local and/or global Medical Information projects that provide innovative solutions to optimize and improve deliverables to external and internal customers
- Responsible for timely and accurate data entry into MI systems; ensures data integrity
- Actively participates in knowledge exchange and sharing of key Medical Information processes, lessons learned and process efficiencies
**Qualifications**:
Job Knowledge Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in MSc or PhD in health science (Pharmacology, Pathology, etc) or Pharmacy, Nursing or Medicine programme
- Familiarity with regulatory and healthcare guidelines/policies preferred
Technical Competency Requirements:
- Ability to verbally communicate information to HCPs
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
- Ability to research, interpret and translate information into communications to HCPs and business partners
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and process adherence
- Strong communication (verbal, written) and presentation skills
- Shown proficiencies for creativity, and problem-solving
- Shown ability to work independently and in team settings
- Working knowledge of common digital/virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, etc.)
