Job Title: Crew Lead
Work Location: Regina, SK.
Division/Department: Cleaning/Maintenance
- Full Time (30-50 Hrs/Week)
Starting Pay: $20/Hr
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities**:
Crew Leads are responsible for managing a small team in completing window cleaning, gutter cleaning, sunroom cleaning and pressure washing services for residential and commercial clients up to 5 stories tall. Crew Leads will develop their already-fluent customer service and communication skills by interacting with customers, and performing duties such as upselling services/products, processing payments, creating estimates for jobs, and message clients when needed. As a crew lead you will be in charge of a work vehicle and perform daily tasks such as load, unload the truck, manage inventory with tools and equipment needed within the day. Crew leads will report to the appointed Field Supervisor if there are any questions, concerns, or comments, and will be expected to follow Boys Next Door Window Cleaning policies and procedures. Crew Leads are expected to be exemplary team members, setting an example for other staff members in regards to showing up on time, being prepared for the day, understanding the schedule and requirements of each job and day as a whole, taking care of equipment, and ensuring we treat every customer like our neighbour.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures and expectations.
- Lead and direct employees through daily duties related to the job.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, and follow procedures and checklists in regard to loadout and responsibility of equipment.
- Take payment, schedule appointments, suggest services, and make client relationships.
- Develop a plan of action with Service Technician at every new job, to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Clean and service properties for services within our current offerings as well as less-frequent miscellaneous tasks such as solar panel cleaning, lightbulb installation, and high-access dusting.
- Working at heights, by safely using ladders, fall arrest equipment and possibly aerial work platforms; all while following our safety protocols.
- Ensure all equipment is managed and used properly, both during training of a new employee, as well as continuous monitoring of Service Technicians workmanship and tool usage.
- Manage individual crews inventory throughout the week, and fill out proper product requests when new inventory is needed.
- Ensure individual crew’s shop space is organized and maintained.
- Motivate, train and help new staff members feel comfortable in our work environment, as well as be willing and able to help out other crews when needed.
**Education &/or Work Experience Required**:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures, particularly those related to working at heights and handling chemicals.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Competency in planning, scheduling, and executing service operations.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Experience in managing work vehicles and equipment preferred.
- Customer service background of some capacity is helpful, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as a team to carry out assignments and duties within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and in a timely manner to meet deadlines; while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- How to drive a pickup truck, and pull a trailer - preferred but not required
- General ability to be resourceful with tools and equipment in different situations
- Can-do attitude and willingness/enthusiasm to learn new skills
**Physical Requirements**:
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Must have the ability and comfortableness with ladders, and heights about 20-40ft (employees will be trained with fall arrest and ladder safety, as well as slowly coached to higher ladders so that they are comfortable).
- Must be able to work in the heat (up to +40 degrees celsius), as well as the cold (down to -20 degrees celsius).
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and be able to easily type on a smartphone keyboard.
- Must have the ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with Boys Next Door Window Cleaning, WCB, and other provincial, federal, and local standards.
**Additional Information**:
- All positions include a 12 week probationary period.
- All Full-time employees agree that a full work week is 40-50 Hours per week, and any hours worked above 40 hours within a given week, will be paid at 1.5x their wage.
**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
