**Summary**

At Dynamic Store Fixtures the draftsperson plays a very important role in the production process. Using your accuracy and attention to detail, you will make 3D models come to life.

Working alongside with Project Managers and the Production Department Team, the draftsperson will develop all required documentation packages for production, outsourcing, assembly, Installation, and implementation, following the company’ standards.

**Job Duties**
- Review documentation provided by Project managers prior to project kick-off meetings.
- Consult with Design Engineering Manager project timelines and milestones, as well as any crucial information to be specified in drawings or any other technical documents.
- On occasion, visit local job sites or collaborate with infield personal to verify onsite survey dimensions.
- Be familiar with or be good at interpreting Installation Manuals of Products and/or Hardware to ensure correct installation and usage.
- Create and edit 3D models using Solidworks and Swood. We create sketch-driven models using company-specific part templates and smart features. Having knowledge about Solidworks sketch-driven 3D modeling, part templates and smart features is an asset (Training will be provided nonetheless).
- Create detailed shop drawings according to Industry Standards for CNC programing, Assembly, Installation Instructions, and Outsourcing of custom-made elements such as metal, lighting, and glass, among others.
- Prepare Bill of Materials using a company-specific Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet Template. Basic knowledge of Excel is required.
- When preparing technical drawings, identify and correct any inaccuracies and/or discrepancies between 3D models and material availability.
- Prepare documents to release work orders.
- During the production cycle, ensure that any revisions or corrections requested by other departments are captured and implemented, keeping all documents and files up-to-date and always organized.
- Actively contribute with ideas towards improving the engineering process efficiency.
- Be available for training on new software systems that may be implemented for work efficiency.
- Help with training new hires on software systems, company standards, and internal procedures when required.
- Opportunity to operate Laser Cutting Machine. Previous experience on Laser cutting and/or using Adobe Illustrator or CorelDraw would be an asset.
- Perform other duties as required.

**Requirements**:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- This a full-time position working in an office environment.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma from a University or college in Computer-aided Design and Drafting (CADD).
- A Solidworks Certificate is acceptable when supported by relevant millwork experience.

**Experience**
- Preference of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial fixtures and millwork.
- Preference of 2 years of experience working on Solidworks.

**Skills**
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Can collaborate effectively within a team and independently.
- Ability to respond well to constructive criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
- Good organizational skills, detail and deadline oriented.
- Be familiar with CNC and Laser cutting is an asset.
- Knowledge on metal, plastic and glass construction techniques is an asset.
- Drafting Standards.
- Previous experience using SWOOD software is an asset.

**Work Conditions**

Although we strive for a friendly and respectful work environment, we are immersed in a fast-paced industry where some of your tasks can be quite repetitive, with tight deadlines, and recurring interruptions regarding revisions of ongoing projects in the production line.

We understand that accuracy requires focus and therefore, we are constantly seeking to implement new strategies to address and minimize the challenges previously mentioned.

Working extra hours will be required. We do our best to schedule extra hours in advance. However, due to the nature of the industry this may not be always the case.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
