Navera Community Connections is looking to hire Childcare Workers on a casual basis at our Early Learning & Family Centre, Rosewood location. Casual Childcare Workers will work cooperatively with the Early Childhood Educators to create a supportive, nurturing, and safe environment for the children in our care and their parents. Other duties include:

- Provide physical care and stimulation for children ages 0 - 6 years (this includes guiding and assisting with proper eating, dressing, and hygiene habits).
- Assist with implementing age-appropriate developmental activities for children.
- Model behaviour that nurtures and supports healthy relationships.
- May help with preparing children’s meals and snacks.
- Other duties may be assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience working with children ages 0-6 years old.
- Experience working in an Early Learning environment is an asset.
- First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe Certificate are an asset.

- Shows competence, respect, and empathy in working with diverse and vulnerable populations and groups.
- Personal compatibility with the values of Navera Community Connections.

**Requirements**:

- Lifting (up to 40 lbs.), frequent standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, sitting on the floor.
- Acceptable results of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search are required before hire.

Working Conditions
- In-person at the Early Learning & Family Centre, Rosewood location.
- Primarily work indoors, with some outside work with a group of children.
- Casual employees work on an as-needed basis during the hours of operation of the work location.
- There is no guarantee of hours.
- Applicants with certification in Early Childhood Education will receive the wage enhancement for this position.
