Surveyor

Jacob Bros Construction is immediately hiring a Surveyor (or Grademan)**.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sets-up and operates Topcon survey and GPS equipment; directs and conducts a broad range of field surveys for construction purposes
- Accurately calculates heights, depths, positions, property lines, and other characteristics of worksite terrain
- Prepares accurate field data, notes, charts, plots, maps, records and documents related to surveys for construction purposes
- Verifies quality and accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations, coordinates findings with construction site management
- Accurately reads, interprets and analyzes engineering drawings; produces accurate as-built drawings
- Sets elevations and grades for roads, utilities construction and concrete works
- Prepares and maintains maps, reports and legal descriptions of surveys to describe work performed
- Cleans, adjusts and maintains surveying instruments to maintain accuracy
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Two (2) years proven Surveyor experience for a privately held or family-owned general contracting business is preferred
- Must have Topcon
- Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada
