Construction Estimator

**Responsibilities**:

- Foster effective working relationships with stakeholders including consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
- Prepare accurate estimates of material, labor, and equipment costs for construction projects based on bids, drawings, and specifications.
- Manage the tendering process and implement cost monitoring and reporting systems.
- Generate and maintain cost and expenditure statements and forecasts throughout projects.
- Maintain a directory of suppliers and contractors, and liaise with them as necessary.
- Communicate with project stakeholders, including engineers, architects, and subcontractors, and conduct economic feasibility studies.
- Coordinate construction projects and prepare progress schedules to ensure timely completion.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- College or university degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Previous working experience as a residential construction estimator for (3-5) years
- Strong knowledge of standard residental construction materials and parctices and the Ontario Building code
- Attend applicable company meetings both in-office and on-site to enable project estimating.
- Demonstrable knowledge of residential renovation and construction techniques.
- Working knowledge of residential estimation and quantity take off techniques
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay: $52,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
