**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and oversee programs tailored to residents’ needs.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, social workers, and families.
- Assist residents with daily activities and personal care.
- Foster a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Monitor residents’ progress and document care activities.
- Supervise and support staff and volunteers involved in youth programs.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate youth programs that meet the needs of participants.
- Manage administrative tasks related to program scheduling, participant registration, and communication with families.
- Collaborate with community partners to enhance program offerings and resources.
- Monitor program budgets, ensuring financial accountability and sustainability.
- Organize events and activities that promote youth engagement and participation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to youth participants, fostering their personal growth and development.
- Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders to continuously improve program effectiveness.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in supervising staff or volunteers within a youth-focused environment.
- Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in program management, including planning, execution, and evaluation of programs.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial management related to program funding.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with youth, families, and community partners.
- A passion for working with young people and a commitment to their development.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed for program activities.
- Experience in foster care systems or child protection.
- Degree in Social Work or a related field
- Knowledge of Ontario's foster care and adoption policies.

**Certifications**
- **PSW/DSW or**Degree in Social Work or Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or Diploma/Degree in Child and Youth Care.
- **First Aid and CPR (Level C)** Required for all staff interacting with residents.
- **Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI)**: Training in managing behavioral crises.
- **Food Handlers Certification**: If meal preparation is part of the job.
- **Safe Management/Behavioral Management Techniques**: For handling challenging behaviors (e.g., Safe Management Group training, PMAB).
- **Clearances**:

- **Police Vulnerable Sector Check**: Mandatory for working with vulnerable populations.
- **Child Welfare Check**

Pay: $24.73-$26.35 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
