**Job Summary**:
The Extraction Technician is responsible for performing high-quality ethanol-based extraction processes to produce top-tier products. This role involves operating and maintaining extraction equipment, adhering to safety and compliance protocols, and contributing to a collaborative lab culture.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Operate and monitor ethanol extraction equipment to ensure optimal performance and consistent product quality.
- Maintain accurate logs of extraction processes, including temperature, pressure, time, and yield metrics.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of extraction and related equipment to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all products meet regulatory and company standards.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and compliance guidelines specific to the industry (e.g., cannabis, hemp, pharmaceutical).
- Assist in post-extraction processes such as filtration, winterization, and decarboxylation.
- Safely handle solvents and chemicals, adhering to Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) protocols.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss process improvements and resolve technical challenges.
**Qualifications**:
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in ethanol extraction processes, preferably in [cannabis/hemp/pharmaceutical/psychedelic] laboratories.
- **Education**: Associate’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- **Technical Skills**: Strong understanding of ethanol extraction techniques, equipment operation, and maintenance.
- **Certifications**: OSHA safety certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow complex standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commitment to quality and efficiency.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in varying environmental conditions (e.g., cold rooms).

**How to Apply**:
Pay: $25.64-$35.48 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
