**Role Summary**
The Associate, Data Analytics role is part of a team that receives detailed and high-level requirements & specifications from the client for implementation. They analyze, design, develop, optimize, test, and document ETL deliverables to meet our clients’ needs. They work with architects, designers, business analysts, and other developers to provide quality development deliverables.
**Major Areas of Responsibility**
- Develop an understanding of clients’ business issues and data challenges.
- Implement Analytics solutions aligned to BI best practices (as defined or adopted by the client) and standards and ensure process performance within all deliverables.
- With guidance utilize SQL, shell scripts and external programming languages to complement and enhance the functionality the ETL tools provide.
- Participate in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing BI solutions from existing data warehouse, and other enterprise data sources.
- With guidance, build metadata, reports and dashboards for deployment in a web-based environment in accordance with predefined detailed report specifications.
- Participate in conducting unit & integration tests, assisting in test preparations to ensure data integrity, data quality, and program functional completeness & correctness.
- With guidance, create detailed technical documentation for business intelligence solutions.
- Build trust with your stakeholders and team members by delivering your work on time, working collaboratively with internal and external teams, and asking for help when you need it.
- Contribute to lessons learned and process improvements.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience working with BI tools preferably with MicroStrategy, MS Power BI and/or Tableau.
- Knowledge of SQL Programming, creating queries, tables, view, and procedures.
- Critical thinking capabilities and a consultative mindset.
- Passionate about Data Analytics with an interest in learning new things about the field.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Software or Computer Science/Engineering fields or related industry experience or acumen

**Nice to Have**
- Knowledge about Data warehouse and Data profiling concepts.
- Knowledge about programming languages: Python, Java, etc.
- Knowledge about Relational DBMS, SQL, MPP and/or NoSQL databases.
- Agile delivery methodology, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment concepts and methods.
- Specialized training in business intelligence tools is an asset.
