**Job Summary**:
The **Sustainability Manager, Support Services** is responsible for executing on various components of the Compass Sustainability plan. This individual will participate in the research, development, and implementation efforts for support services sustainability. They will contribute to the preparation of a sustainability plan that meets and in some cases exceeds the expectations for Planet Promise within the Support Services sector of Compass Group Canada. They understand the Hospitality and Support Services industry and will partner with the various Corporate and Operations teams to promote the adoption of sustainability initiatives.
**How you will make an impact**:
- Lead the creation of the overall Sustainability plan for the Support Services sector that meets or exceeds our Planet Promise criteria. The broader overall goal is to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, with specific interim goals along the way
- Stay current on emerging trends, programs and sustainability initiatives
- Prepare detailed project plans for sustainability initiatives
- Manage the execution and implementation of specific sustainability programs across a broad multi-stakeholder team
- Make recommendations for sustainability reporting and monitoring of KPIs
- Update our catalogue of sustainability related programs for inclusion in RFP’s and rebids
- Support the engagement with clients in RFP’s, rebids, and QBRs to address sector specific sustainability concerns and priorities
**About you**:
- 6+ years of relevant work experience, with preference for experience in Support Services
- Strong Project Management skills, with a proven ability to execute on projects
- A desire to drive change and make an impact
- Energetic, curious, continuous learner with analytical/strategic thinking skills
- Highly organized, results oriented and organizational savvy
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Expertise in cross-functional teamwork
