Accounting Analyst

**Accounting Analyst** We currently have an opening for a **Financial Analyst** to join our mining & metallurgy team, based in **Toronto**. We’re seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and/or financial planning & budgeting. The Financial Analyst position serves as the primary liaison between accounting services and the operational leadership of our Quebec business unit. This role will report directly into our Divisional Controller - North America and will be the finance business partner for our VP M&M Quebec. **Your role within the Team** As a member of the Finance, M&M North America team, you will report to the Divisional Controller and be responsible for: - Business Partnering and Financial Planning and Analysis_ - Prepare quarterly forecasts and yearly budgets - Prepare and review monthly reporting package and present results to management - Communicate and assist operational senior management by explaining monthly results, quarterly forecast, budget and variance analysis - General accounting _ - Review Bank reconciliations - Review G/L analysis - Review and improve efficiency of internal financial reporting and transactional controls - Review and prepare inter-company agreements and profit calculations - Approval of journal entries and reconciliations - Project Finance Support_ - Review project financial reports - Communicate and assist project managers in respect of project performance, review and challenge project forecasts including contingency and provision reviews - Approve projects in Oracle based on Contract structure - Revenue recognition including percentage of completion - Comprehend memos issued by tax department for new projects and ensure implementation **Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an Employer?** Because we offer: - The opportunity to work on diverse and large-scale projects, both domestically and internationally. - A stimulating work environment where work-life balance is valued. - Access to a wide range of training opportunities focused on individual development and interests. - Competitive salary, flexible benefits, share ownership plan, and defined contribution pension plan. - A work environment that prioritizes health and safety. **Qualifications for the Position** - University degree in Accounting, and have an Accounting Designation - Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting - Ability to work well with others, with leadership qualities - Strong analytical skills - Autonomous - Advanced skills in Excel - Project Accounting Experience, an asset - Oracle (ERP) and experience with Hyperion is an asset **Are you up for the challenge?
