**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Associate's degree in electronic engineering technology or equivalent.
- 0-2 years’ industry work experience.
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Competency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.)
- Basic computer programming skills such as Python.

**TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Working knowledge of schematics and electrical diagrams.
- Able to review, understand, and make basic interpretations of test standards, test specifications, and product specifications in order to perform appropriate testing.
- Knowledge of ISO and related safety standards.
- Able to generate technical reports.
- Able to review and interpret test specifications.
- Able to perform failure analysis and provide root cause assessments.
- Able to operate basic electrical test equipment such as a digital multimeter, electronic load, LCR meter, insulation tester, and a data acquisition machine (Datalogger.)
- Load and run basic test scripts for cell/battery test equipment such as Maccor Series 4000 and Neware. Also be able to make minor changes to test scripts, as necessary.
- Able to perform basic soldering operations and perform resistance welding of Nickel tabs.
- Able to assemble and attach Nickel tabs or wire harnesses to cell and battery samples in preparation for testing.
- Ability to multitask and proactively take initiatives.
- Flexible with changing test priorities.
- Excellent communication skills - internal and external customers and stakeholders.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (High Level)**

The Electronics Engineering Technician II will perform safety and qualification tests as directed by the Cell Safety Engineer and Senior Engineering Technician.
- Conduct safety, qualification, and characterization tests, record the data, review the data for accuracy, and submit to the Safety & Qualification Engineer for approval.
- Generate and submit test reports for review and approval.
- Maintain equipment calibration records and keep check on inventory of consumables.
- Prepare used test samples for disposal.
- Maintain lab organization and cleanliness.
- Support lab audits and inspections.
- Create test fixtures utilizing 3D modeling design software.
- Support failure analysis as needed. Work with other lab associates to perform root cause analysis and provide report / test results.
- Prepare and maintain work instructions and SOPs for the responsible areas.
- Prepare and submit weekly status reports and monthly metrics to management.
- Provide training and education to other associates as needed.
- Follow through appropriately to ensure issues are closed in timely manner.
- Be able to manage their time to complete assigned tasks and commitments, and set priorities based on management input. Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- Work independently and only receive instruction on complex work assignments.
- Volunteer to take on additional responsibilities as needed in support of the overall mission of the team.
- Be able to spend up to 50% of the workday standing and/or walking as part of performing laboratory test operations.
- Be able to lift 25 pounds.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
