Respite Worker for a Visually Impaired Individual

_**RAPS is Seeking a Respite Worker to assist Visually Impaired Individual with Crohn’s Disease & Epilepsy (S45)**_
- **Location**:_Strathcona County - 15 minutes from Sherwood Park/10 minutes from South East Edmonton_
- **Days**:_Flexible days (to be discussed with employer)_
- **Hours**:_Up to 30 hours per week_
- **Rate of Pay: $18.40/Hour**_
- _Duties include but are not limited to building a positive relationship with client, encouraging and engaging the client in new activities, accompanying on community outings, developing life skills, meal preparation, medication administration, and companionship. Seizure protocol to be followed as directly by the family._
- **Qualifications and Other Requirements**:_Recent criminal record check including the vulnerable sector, valid driver’s license and vehicle for outings, be fully vaccinated against covid-19 & be a non-smoker. Applicants must have their Support Worker Diploma and/or previous work experience. Epilepsy knowledge & protocols associated with seizure management, and abdominal flareups are considered an asset._
