Bayshore is growing and we are seeking Personal Caregivers who are looking for flexible hours. We offer casual home and community care jobs.
**_ **(PSW’s) Personal Support Worker OR (HCA) Certificates required and those who have their own personal vehicle and drive a must. **_**
**Available locations**: Port Perry, Greenbank Area
**Day availability required from 9am-5pm, and some evening until 7pm**
Foreign trained Nurses with documentation to support, second year RPN Students, third year RN students are also eligible.

**The Work You Will Do**
As a Personal Caregiver, you will provide high-quality and compassionate care to your clients on a **one-to-one basis in client's private home** and provide exceptional customer service.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide homemaking services including, but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry and general household management.
- Provide companionship and/or accompany clients to activities and events in the community.
- Provide personal care service according to directions on the care plan.
- Ensures that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent.
- Help with client specific activities of daily living (personal assistance tasks)
- Perform specialized, client specific procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
- Observe and document client conditions according to company standards, report unusual events or changes in the client’s condition to the immediate Supervisor or to the Office
- Understands and implements infection prevention practices.

Job Qualification
**Requirements**:
- Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service.
- Able to communicate in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
- Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
- Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
- Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset
- Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
