**WHAT IS ON OFFER**
AHK has an opportunity for an Inspector to join our team based in Rouyn Noranda, Quebec. As an Inspector you will be responsible for ensuring client instructions are carried out at the consignment location. You will act as an independent party to verify compliance to agreed processes and provide details to clients regarding the handling of their product. Some assignments may include active sampling and shipping of products for laboratory testing.

**DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?**
To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out any assignments in accordance with the clients’ instructions and industry standards.
- Provide written reports that summarize all operations carried out for any given assignment using provided templates.
- Dispatch samples to AHK NA or as instructed by the client (via UPS, FedEx, or DHL).
- Ensure safety in the workplace and, in this respect, also ensure compliance with any and all instructions relating to the use and storage of material/equipment necessary for the performance of all job-related tasks.
- Follow appropriate health and safety policies and procedures at all times, including site-specific requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
- French & English required.
- Ability to communicate efficiently with work site and office-based staff.
- Maintain a professional and independent position for all assignments.
- Must be detail oriented and have the ability to convey details through written reports and photographs.
- Must be reliable and able to organize and operate independently (training will be provided).
- General computer literacy (Word, Excel, G-mail, Google Drive, etc).
Required Work Experience
- Experience in material sampling and inspection practices is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and occasionally climb a ladder.
- Must have a personal vehicle suitable for transportation to assignments.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must have reliable transportation to arrive at the work site.
Travel / Rotation Requirements
- Depending on the location, some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
- Main work site is the Fonderie Horne but there may be an occasion for additional assignments at other locations.
