**Job Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assessments of patients.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring appropriate management plans are in place.
- Provide pain management solutions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Epic and Cerner for documentation and data collection.
- Collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.
- Engage in research activities to enhance clinical practices and improve patient outcomes.
- Educate patients about their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and advancements in internal medicine.
- Participate in hospital rounds and provide acute care as necessary.
- Foster a supportive environment for patients, promoting their overall well-being.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in pain management techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic and Cerner.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to internal medicine.
- Experience in acute care settings with a focus on patient care excellence.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data effectively.
- Knowledge of pediatric considerations within internal medicine when applicable.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation.
