Intercity Packers is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS).

As our innovative business continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking for a Full-Time Maintenance Supervisor for our Richmond location.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that all building systems, equipment, and facilities in their charge operate at peak efficiency. They will resolve issues that arise in order to keep both building maintenance activities running smoothly or take care of any repairs needed on-site if there is an emergency.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, Business Hours (flexibility may be required based on business needs)

Salary: Starting from $42/hour, with monthly performance bonus

Duties & Responsibilities- Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing and participating in all tasks related to facility maintenance- Developing methods and schedules for facility maintenance- Responsibly handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance- Taking part in developing maintenance policies and standards for an organization- Coordinating training sessions in facility maintenance, safety procedures, and methods- Planning daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Technicians and other professionals- Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for an organization’s facilities and equipment- Routinely inspecting various elements of buildings and grounds, like elevators, fire alarms, security cameras and sprinkler systems- Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with- Plan and execute production to fulfill all regulatory as well as SQF requirements.- Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements- Having a technical degree in an electrical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Engineering) with 3-5 years experience in managing a maintenance team preferably within a food manufacturing environment will be an asset.- Minimum three years maintaining and repairing MHE and/or warehouse related equipment and facilities.- Able to work under pressure within a deadline driven and fast paced environment.- Technical capability and understanding.- Experience of managing Profit & Loss responsibilities for maintenance.
