Reporting to the superintendent, the Aerial and Buried Wire Installer will be supporting the Fibre To the Home project surrounding North Bay and Sudbury areas.

**What You’ll Do Here**:

- Hang aerial fibre service wires from pole to house.
- Bury underground fibre service wires using various methods including hand spading, mini excavator, or vibratory plow.
- Able to read locates and verify utility markings (gas, hydro, communications, water, sewer, etc.)
- Work closely with the foreperson for overall planning, scheduling, material needs and equipment requirements.
- Promote, support, and facilitate teamwork between all construction crews by fostering a positive attitude among all project crews, regardless of experience levels.
- Represents Aecon in a positive and respectful manner.
- Able to set up traffic control plans to keep the crew safe for daily tasks.
- Complete circle checks on CVOR vehicles and fill out all required logbooks.
- Customer relation skills required for face-to-face interaction during installation.
- Fibre drop wire termination with a fusion set will be required to complete the work orders.

**What you bring to the Team**:

- Utility or telecommunications construction experience.
- Mechanically inclined and able to properly maintain equipment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering a quality product.
- Outside the box thinking to provide service to customers in a safe manner.
- Previous experience with drop wire installation is an asset.
- Walking, lifting, operating equipment, operation of a bucket truck.
- Working at heights and climbing ladders
- Ability to work long hours in all weather conditions (winter and summer)
- G license required, DZ or AZ is an asset
