Funeral Director

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Meet with families to arrange and plan funeral and memorial services
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of funeral and visitation services, including setup, execution, and follow-up
- Prepare deceased individuals for viewings and services, including embalming, dressing, casketing, and cosmetic work
- Ensure all legal and administrative documents are completed accurately and in compliance with provincial regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the preparation room, chapel, and visitation areas
- Assist with transfers and transportation of decedents
- Provide compassionate and professional support to families throughout the entire funeral process
- Participate in on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends

**Qualifications**:

- Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer (or the ability to become licensed in Alberta)
- Previous experience in a funeral home setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
