Vancouver, Canada BLT Construction Services Full time

BLT is seeking a dedicated skilled Labourer to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As a Skilled Labourer, you will perform a variety of tasks on BLT job sites as directed by the Site Superintendent and other senior BLT personnel. This role requires a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a "safety first" attitude. **General Requirements**: - Must have a vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver's license, with the ability to travel between sites as required - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with peers, Site Superintendent, and other trades onsite - Ability to work well within a team and independently - Demonstrate a “safety first” attitude - Results-driven and proactive approach - Professional, innovative, and self-starter attitude - Foster a positive and professional work environment with trades and coworkers **Onsite Responsibilities**: - Maintain a tidy and orderly job site - Be familiar with construction documents, drawings, and local building codes - Arrive prepared for work with necessary tools - Assist in coordinating and scheduling other trades - Support the implementation of BLT’s Occupational Health and Safety Policies - Promote adherence to all Health and Safety requirements on the job site - Manage project documents and drawings - Collect daily work logs from subcontractors - Move, load, and unload materials - Coordinate with base building contractors, client representatives, and operations managers - Order materials and equipment for job sites - Monitor inventory of materials delivered to job sites - Set up and remove protection materials for finished work (e.g., melamine, drop sheets, plastic coverings) **Qualifications** - Previous construction experience preferred with knowledge of basic tools - Knowledge of construction practices and safety protocols - Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings - Strong organizational and time-management skills - Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor **Join BLT and be a part of a professional and innovative team that prioritizes safety and collaboration** **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - Monday to Friday (possible weekends if required) **Experience**: - Construction: 2 years Licence/Certification: - Class 5 Licence (required) Work Location: In person - Various within Metro Vancouver **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour Additional pay: - Overtime pay **Benefits**: - Casual dress - Company events - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Tuition reimbursement - Vision care - Wellness program Schedule: - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - construction: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Class 5 Licence (required) Work Location: In person
