THIS IS AN ON-CALL / FILL IN POSITION. You can likely expect at least one shift per week but we cannot guarantee hours. You will be filling in for other security team members when they need shifts off or on holidays where there is not a regularily scheduled security shift.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

With the rise of break-ins and thefts recently in the GTA, Bolts Plus is looking to implement an on-site private security team. This team will complete foot patrols of the main warehouse and store front in Bolton, as well as monitor security camera feeds for all remote locations. The team will be able to activate alarms on demand and alert the police before offenders have even attempted to enter stores.

**EXPECTED DUTIES**
- Clear knowledge and understanding of the Security function at an industrial establishment
- Remotely monitor security cameras for suspicious or unusual activity
- Coordinate with internal departments in case of emergency
- Coordinate with alarm company and law enforcement in case of trespassing or break & enter
- Ensure the security of company property
- Ensures the security of the main facility after hours by performing mobile and foot patrols
- Watch for any suspicious activity and disturbances. Assess danger and calls for assistance if necessary.
- Intervene to halt or prevent disturbances or other incidents
- Electronically maintain accurate and complete security records

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Ability to take control of emergency situations with tact and diplomacy required
- Must be bondable and possess a valid Security Guard license as per the Ontario Ministry of Private Security and Investigative Services Act
- Must possess a valid G license
- Past experience is a must, as this position will be manned solo
- Self-defense, hand to hand training and cuffing level 1 preferred
- Must be knowledgeable in arrest and detention procedures
- Must be fluent in English both written and spoken
- Criminal background check will be performed
- Available nights and weekends
- Able to use computers and monitoring stations
- Working knowledge of Emergency response and crisis management
- Clear knowledge and understanding of the Security function at an industrial establishment
- Strong decision-making ability - shows good judgment and confidence

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
