**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables, as well as preparing ingredients for cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
- Support cooks during meal service by providing assistance as needed, including plating dishes and restocking supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the kitchen.
- Participate in inventory management by assisting with stock rotation and reporting any shortages.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; we are willing to train motivated individuals.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is a plus.
- A background in hospitality or restaurant settings will be beneficial for understanding the fast-paced nature of the role.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff are essential.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques is highly valued.
