Employment Type: Weekend Contract Position

Binarium provides on-site IT and technical support services for testing and training

environments across multiple GTA locations. We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Mobile

Network Setup Technician to manage and maintain a mobile computer network used for

weekend testing sessions. This role is ideal for someone who’s tech-savvy, dependable, and

enjoys hands-on work setting up and troubleshooting computer systems and networks.

Key Responsibilities
- Network Setup (Thursday or Friday afternoon/evening)
- Pick up mobile IT equipment from Mississauga.
- Securely transport and set up equipment at assigned locations (varies weekly:
Mississauga, Oakville, Hamilton, Richmond Hill, etc.).
- Configure a temporary closed network of 10-12 laptops according to specifications.
- Connect and test peripherals (headphones, scanners, etc.).
- Run test simulations on all workstations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware or connection issues.
- Communicate with Binarium’s IT Support team as needed.
- Ensure full operational readiness for weekend use.
- Network Take-Down
- Dismantle and safely pack all equipment.
- Track, restock, and report on mobile IT inventory.
- Transport all equipment back to Binarium’s Mississauga base.
- Report any defective or missing equipment to the supervisor.

You should be comfortable with:

- Computer hardware setup and maintenance
- Local network configuration and troubleshooting
- Diagnosing connectivity or hardware problems under time constraints

You must also be able to:

- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg)
- Drive to and from various sites in the GTA
- Work independently and follow setup protocols accurately
- Provide a valid Police Criminal Reference Check (within 6 months)Requirements
- Personal vehicle with valid driver’s license and insurance
- Availability every Thursday or Friday (setup) and Sunday evening (take-down)
- Ability to bend, kneel, and handle equipment safely
- Completion of company-provided online training and certification

Work Hours & Compensation
- Approx. 6 hours per week (3 hours setup + 3 hours teardown)
- Weekend-based contract role with potential for additional IT support work
