Starting rate is **$20.75 Hrly**.

Class 2 Wage progression has an annual scheduled wage increase.

Following your probationary period, you are enrolled into our group benefits Once you reach your 1-year work anniversary you are enrolled in the pension plan.

**Overview**:
As a general labourer you are expected to assist the production floor by supporting line operators.

**Schedule**:
You will be scheduled for 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and included into our MAD shift rotation: Midnights 11:00pm - 7:00am, Afternoons 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Days 7:00am - 3:00pm, with the possibility for overtime, as per the Collective Agreement.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Performs all duties in a safe manner, reports unsafe conditions to the immediate shift supervisor
- Maintain a clean workstation at all times
- Move skids via a hand pump jack
- Sack Tipping (Pouring Ingredients into mixer)
- Make minor ingredient mixtures
- Utilize a scanner to track all mixes
- Make totes
- Performs duties requiring some heaving lifting, walking, climbing and height work
- Maintains the organization and inventory maintenance of all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Monitors and maintains recycle, garbage and food waste systems in plant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualification Requirements**
- High School Diploma, GED, or significant relevant experience
- Production experience is an asset but not necessary

**Working Conditions/Environment & Physical Demands**
- Must be able to work in high areas of the plant using sky jack or boom lifts
- Outdoor conditions during both summer and winter
- Working in tight/small areas
- Work in an environment that can be at times wet, very humid, and undergoes extreme temperature changes, from very hot to cold
- Dirty, dusty, any noisy environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Standing or walking through the entire day
- Bending and stooping
- Pushing and pulling pallet jacks, buckets, garbage etc.

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Safe operation of various equipment (i.e.) Scissor lifts, boom, Tennant floor scrubber, safety harnesses
- Knowledge & understanding of GMP practices;
- Knowledge & understanding of HACCP practices/procedures (Food Safety)
- Knowledge & understanding of safe handling of chemicals & WHMIS
- Knowledge of all compactors operation/cleaning
- Knowledge & understanding of colour coding practices
- Knowledge & understanding of “lock out, tag out” procedure
