Family Support Worker

**Responsibilities**:
- Support families with intake and registration into Autism Services programs (OAP and Fee-For-Service) that best meets the needs of child/youth and caregivers
- Provide resources that support families goals, coordination and collaboration with others
- Serve as a liason with internal and external service providers, Autism Ontario and Ontario Autism Program
- Demonstrate organization, flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Support Autism Services department with administrative tasks
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or college diploma in a field related to child studies/social services
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team work skills
- Self-directed learner who is able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
**Preferred Experience**:
- 3-5 years’ experience working with children/youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder within regional Autism Intervention Programs and/or ABA Services & Supports and/or Ontario Autism Program
- Demonstrated knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Experience working directly with families on skill building, navigating services, and problem-solving issues
**Other**:
- Valid driver’s license and personal transportation are required as travel is required within the Brant, Haldimand-Norfolk, Six Nations of the Grand and Mississauga’s of the Credit catchment area
- Proof of full covid 19 vaccination requirement
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time, Fixed term contract
**Salary**: $42,399.00-$49,810.00 per year
