The Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for Health & Safety activities such as legislative requirements, COR Certification, WCB claims, policy development and other situations regarding the health and safety of employees and customers. The Health & Safety Coordinator must perform all assigned tasks with sufficient speed and accuracy to avoid adverse impact on the company and its employees and customers.
- Develop and provide staff with all necessary administrative tools such as checklists and forms to perform jobs safely
- Works with management to identify and plan for Health & Safety requirements to meet short and long-term business needs
- Investigates, assesses and facilitates day-to-day maintenance of facility and equipment either directly or through advice to management.
- Directs adaptation of policies, plans and programs to meet accepted objectives.
- Enforce company health and safety policies and enforce proper disciplinary action when needed.
- Complete all accident, incident and near miss reports, including WCB reports as necessary
- Conduct safety meetings with Joint Health & Safety meetings
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to provincial and federal safety legislation, as well as use of good judgement. Report any potential hazards and unsafe behavior to management in order to have the situation corrected.
- Follow safe job procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Manual

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: From $17.50 per hour
