**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prep and assemble ingredients for production
- Collaborate with the parallel departments to ensure production needs are met
- Be a team player and show strong morale for team-work within the culinary team.
- Develop and plan menus and daily specials along with the team
- Manage time well, and ensure prep lists are executed efficiently
- Manage inventory
- Maintain all standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
- Follow stablished maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Be an excellent communicator
- Value being part of a busy and productive team
- Be passionate about food and food history
- Have at least 2 years of professional cooking or baking experience
**Summary**
As a Prep Cook, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will utilize your core skills in cooking, meal preparation, and food handling to assist in creating delicious dishes. Your experience in the food industry and restaurant environment will enable you to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Additionally, your baking skills will enhance our menu offerings, making you a valuable asset in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
