Deli Associate

**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve deli items including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods while ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections, answering questions, and fulfilling special requests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately using POS systems.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Adhere to all food handling guidelines and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
- Experience with cashiering and operating POS systems is a plus.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic workplace.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 26 - 38 per week
