Lowbed and Winch Truck Driver

**The Position**:
BDS is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Truck Driver who and takes pride in safe and efficient truck operation. You will be operating a Winch and Heavy Haul Truck, and will be responsible for loading, transportation, and unloading of heavy equipment.

**The Location**:
The position will be based out of our Camrose location. You will be delivering loads throughout western Canada and possibly the United States.

**Responsibilities**:

- Transporting heavy equipment by operating a tractor and lowboy equipment trailers throughout various job sites
- Load, unload and safely secure cargo as required
- Communicate effectively with swampers, supervision and other crew members
- Perform pre-operational inspections including hazard assessments, ensuring loads are secured by utilizing chains, tarps, etc as required
- Complete relevant paperwork as required by National Safety Code and legal standards in an accurate and timely manner
- Responsible for loading equipment and properly securing loads in a manner that ensures compliance with weight restrictions and government regulations
- To complete job tasks with personal and public safety as a top priority
- Maintain and clean and organized work environment

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license
- Must have 5 years directly related experience in heavy equipment hauling, winching operation and/or other oilfield related trucking experience
- Ability to load/offload heavy equipment
- Operate multi-axle combinations, RGN’s 6 axle, 13 axle, T-Bed experience an asset
- Demonstrated ability, with extensive experience operating winch tractor
- Experience with electric logging, cargo securement, order and understand permits
- Willingness to work long hours, including weekends away from home
- Must have demonstrated ability to work under mínimal supervision
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Familiarity with Western Canada & Potentially USA (Valid passport is considered an asset)
- Experience driving in a mountainous setting is an asset
