Enfield, Canada Ledwidge Lumber Company Ltd. Full time

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the smooth operation of loading and unloading trucks as well as moving lumber for the yard and mill workers. Each Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for ensuring their forklift is properly maintained and serviced.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Operate forklift in a safe and defensive manner, always being aware of other traffic and what could be around the next corner
- Take lumber lifts away from sawmill
- Ensure byproduct piles remain cleaned up
- Load and unload trucks as required
- Ensure all lumber packages are placed in appropriate locations/proper runs
- Maintain yard cleanliness and organization
- Cooperate and assist fellow forklift drivers; this includes sharing various duties around the entire mill yard and helping others whenever possible
- Maintain radio contact at all times
- Inform Management of any material or parts that may be required
- Maintain regular contact with Yard Supervisor/Maintenance in order to keep them informed of mechanical and operational problems

Ensure your forklift is inspected and running well before each shift

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 per week

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
