Dispatcher

**Shift: Monday
- Friday (11:00am-7:30pm)**

**About the Role**:
This position will be dedicated to our local division and will be reporting to the Operations Manager. This Dispatcher is a pivotal member of the operations team and must be able to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with members of our fleet and other departments as necessary. The ability to use TMW with accuracy and proficiency will be of paramount importance to the success of this function.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**
- Supporting approximately 34-40 dedicated drivers, within the local division
- Planning loads, scheduling drivers and assigning freight to the dedicates drivers
- Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain ongoing professional communication with drivers and colleagues
- Monitor shipment status and resolve any issues that may arise during transit
- Perform data entry tasks accurately to maintain up-to-date records
- Review driver performance and participate in driver reviews as needed
- Ensure compliance with legislation (HOS), safety regulations and company policies
- Meet deadlines and adhere to all client shipping requirements
- Ability to be flexible and work extended hours as required
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Position Requirements**:

- TMW experience required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transportation dispatching required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transportation/ logistics industry required
- Advanced knowledge of TMW required
- Proficient in data entry with a high level of accuracy
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal) in English
- Advanced geographical knowledge of the GTA region required
- Awareness of Highway traffic act including hours of service, TDG, weight restrictions etc.
