**What you’ll do**
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:
- This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing internal and third party data for TJX Canada (including WINNERS, Marshalls and HomeSense, Dual/Tri, STYLE+). This role will help enable the Consumer Insights & Analytics function and wider organization to make insightful decisions to drive and grow the business
- Use analytical and technical expertise to address key business objectives driving fact-based decision making
- Execute data queries using statistical tools such as SQL/Power BI to uncover customer insights and bring learnings to life through storytelling
- Analyze customer behaviour such as, but not limited to: shopping frequency, transactions, category purchases, cross-shop, average basket and demographic data
- Develop performance metrics on loyalty membership (new and current) and identifies trends in the data to influence strategies
- Synthesize data from multiple sources, uncover insights, and build compelling data visualizations to tell a holistic customer story
**What you’ll need**
To begin your career with us, we require the following:
- Minimum College Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
- 3-5 years working experience in marketing analysis and research
- Experience working with large datasets to extract, manipulate and analyze data using analytical tools; SQL experience required; Power BI or other data visualization experience strongly preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
- Team player who can influence, build trust, and contribute to a culture of collaboration and partnership
- Strong oral and written communicator with ability to explain complex analytical functions to a non-analytical audience
- Motivated to learn new technologies, and able to grasp concepts and software quickly
- Ability to work independently; excellent time management skills with ability to estimate time required to complete projects; follow up on assignments and keep appropriate team members up to date and aware of progress
