Foot Patrol Worker

The Foot Patrol Worker will monitor popular and high-risk locations where students may

spend their time.

**Responsibilities**

Monitor designated high-traffic areas on foot as outlined in the patrol log

Supervise students during patrol shifts and ensure safety at all times

Plan and manage student shift sign-ups

Maintain communication with On-Call Workers and report suspicious activity immediately

Submit clear, written reports at the end of each shift

Ensure patrol phone, flashlights, and emergency contacts are readily available

Respond promptly to phone calls and texts during and outside of shifts

Assist in emergencies beyond regular hours if required

Cross-trained to assist in On-Call and Student Home Worker roles

**Qualifications**:
High School Diploma and valid First Aid Certificate

Ability to work independently and cooperatively

Experience working with First Nations youth considered an asset

Knowledge of First Nations history, traditions, and local dialects is an asset

Comfortable working in varied environments (schools, outdoors, vehicles)

Must provide a Vulnerable Sector Check

Reports to the KOBE Student Services Supervisor and On-Call Supervisor
