**Position overview**

As a **Security Officer**, you will be responsible for overseeing the security measures, protocols, and personnel within our retail stores. You will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment, preventing theft, ensuring the well-being of our employees and customers, and safeguarding company assets. Your leadership skills will be vital in guiding and motivating the security team to deliver excellent service and uphold the highest standards of safety and security.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily security operations for multiple retail stores, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of security personnel, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to optimize their effectiveness and professionalism.
- Develop and implement security protocols, standards, and procedures to mitigate potential risks, maintain order, and prevent unauthorized access or activities.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of store premises to identify security vulnerabilities, weak points, or safety hazards, and take appropriate measures to address them.
- Monitor and analyze security-related incidents or suspicious activities, promptly investigating and reporting any incidents to relevant stakeholders while implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with store managers, loss prevention teams, and law enforcement agencies to develop strategies and programs that deter theft, minimize inventory shrinkage, and protect company assets.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in security systems, equipment, and surveillance technologies, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary.
- Foster a positive and customer-oriented security culture, promoting excellent customer service and maintaining positive relationships with employees, customers, and stakeholders.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Proven work experience as a Security Officer or similar role, preferably in a retail or commercial setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team of security personnel.
- In-depth knowledge of security protocols, practices, and procedures, including access control, surveillance systems, emergency response, and crisis management.
- Familiarity with local laws, regulations, and industry standards related to security and safety in a retail environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees, customers, and law enforcement agencies.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform security-related tasks, including walking, standing, and lifting objects when necessary.
- Valid security certifications or licenses, as required by local regulations.
