School of Modern Dance Kanata is seeking a passionate and dedicated **Dance Studio Manager with previous experience in a dance or art organization** to lead our vibrant community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement business strategies to increase revenue and profitability
- Train, and supervise staff, establish/implement policies and procedures for staff
- Order and manage costumes, studio merch, including researching and purchasing from various vendors
- Manage competitive team by helping with auditions, handling dance competition registrations, parent/dancer communications, etc.
- Manage recreational, adult classes, summer camps and other events at the studio or organized by the studio
- Take costume measurements from dancers and maintain accurate sizing records
- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming environment for students, teachers and parents
- Ensure that all classes and events run smoothly and efficiently

**Requirements**:

- Detail-oriented, dedicated, reliable and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment in order to meet all of the deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with staff, clients, and vendors
- Proven leadership and management experience, preferably in a dance, sport or art
- Ability to work autonomously and in team in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organized and creative with deep enthusiasm for the arts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling and booking software as well as Google Suite (docs, sheets, forms), and other office software preferred
- Excellent research skills
- Experience working in a dance studio or another art organization is a big asset

This is a **part-time position** with flexible hours, perfect for someone who loves dance and wants to be an essential part of a supportive and energetic team.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
