**Position**:Light**Equipment Operator
**Location**: 340 Regional Road 20, Hamilton, ON
**Pay**: $28-$30 per hour depending on experience
**Union**:Potential Union Placement after a successful probationary period.

**Description**:
The position of Equipment Operator will involve assisting our landscape construction operations with the operation of various types of equipment including skid steers and mini excavators.

**Job Duties**:

- Perform daily pre-operational circle checks and maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety features.
- Operate skid steers, mini excavators, and loaders to assist in various landscaping and construction tasks such as grading, material moving, and excavation.
- Load, unload, and transport materials such as soil, gravel, and mulch while ensuring proper weight distribution and load security.
- Follow site plans and grading specifications to ensure accuracy in excavation and material placement.
- Assist with site preparation and clean-up.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE and following equipment operation guidelines.
- Perform manual labor tasks as required when equipment operation is not needed, such as lifting materials, raking, or site clean-up.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Driver’s license with a good driver’s abstract.
- Minimum of 1 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Experience operating a loader, skid steer and mini excavator.
