**The opportunity**:
As an accounts receivable clerk you will be responsible for
- Reconciliation of accounts daily
- Monitoring customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
- Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Organizing a recovery system and initiate collection efforts
- Interact with Sales Department and customers to resolve discrepancies
- Develop and monitor sound credit policies; perform credit checks
- Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performing reconciliation of payments and customer accounts
- Strengthen and grow relationships with clients by communicating with customers regarding past-due accounts
- Administrative duties including POS reports, debit notes, invoicing and sell thru reports.
- Filing and other general office duties.

**Looking for an individual who**:

- Has 1-3 years experience in A/R
- Has a good understanding of accounting concepts and balancing.
- Has experience working with and understanding the use of spreadsheets.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to type fluently.
- Is detail oriented, highly organized and accurate.
- Has excellent communication and problem solving skills.
- Team player with a cooperative approach when dealing with fellow employees.
- Is able to multi-task and prioritize while under pressure in a busy work environment.
- Has strong customer service skills and ability to help customers when needed.
