**Simalex is an Aluminum Die Cast Manufacturer in Langley BC, we are currently looking to hire Two Die Cast Machine Operator Apprentices. Mechanical Aptitude is a big plus but we are more interested in a person with the right attitude and attention to detail. Basic safety as well as Machine Function and Operation. There will be a 1 month buddy training system, where the new employee will work with one of our more experienced Operators. After the one month has been completed the new employee will be assigned to a machine to work by himself with periodic training from other employees and management.**

**Compensation**

**Starting Rate: $18.00/hr Depending on experience**

**After 3 Months Probation Period: Medical/Dental Benefits as access to our uniform service**

**Regular Increases of 5% every 6 months**

**Journeyman Rate $23.00/$25.00/hr**

**Breakdown of Duties**
**- Set up of molds on the Die Cast Machine and adjusting machine to have correct settings for each specific part**
**- Checking quality of each part made (attention to detail is important)**
**- Running the machine (making parts, and re charging furnace)**
**- Following cleaning procedures**

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
Our plant is perfectly set up for physical distancing, each machine is about 20 feet apart from the next, we have masks and glove available. If a staff member is feeling unwell they MUST stay home until they have recovered/ or been tested.
