**Summary**:The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for maintaining, testing, troubleshooting and repairing Industrial equipment

**Primary Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician**:

- Plans, leads, organizes and controls maintenance-related activities
- Manages relationships with contractors and service providers
- Plans and oversees all repair and installation activities
- Ensures that maintenance SOP’s are followed
- Ensures all production staff work safely and follow established safety procedures
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with subordinates
- Monitors food safe practices of subordinates to ensure compliance with IFS standards
- Monitors personal hygiene of production staff
- Troubleshoots and repairs various electro-mechanical equipment including plumbing, carpentry, etc.
- Monitors parts/ materials inventory and places orders as required
- Updates the maintenance schedule and delegates tasks to maintenance staff
- Creates daily to-do lists for urgent matters
- Ensures maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with all related health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
- Performs administrative tasks
- Performs other related duties and tasks as required to meet the needs of our operations

**Required Skills and Abilities of the Maintenance Technician**:

- Reliable Vehicle for Travel and Class 5 Licence
- Strong Mechanical Aptitude
- Leadership Skills
- Detail-Oriented

- Ability to work as part of a team
- Organization skills
- Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with detailed objects

Hours**:Morning shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm**

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
