We are a 54 unit independent seniors facility as well as the Royal Canadian Legion. RJ Kent is seeking a talented and enthusiastic On-Call Casual Cook to join our team. As a key player in our kitchen, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to our high standards of food preparation and service. If you are passionate about cooking and looking for flexible hours with the chance to cover holidays, this role might be perfect for you

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and cook meals according to our established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality and safety standards.
- Assist with menu planning and ingredient selection when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food storage areas.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and food handling procedures.
- Adapt to various shifts and schedules, including covering holidays and peak periods.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
