**SW Program Management in Gaming / Workstation and Cloud-Virtualization**

**THE ROLE**:
The Software Program Management Team supports the delivery of the next generation of AMD Gaming Radeon Technology Products as well as our Cloud & Virtualization software into the Data Center to enable our key Cloud Software Partners Our Team focuses on on-time delivery of software that supports AMD’s Products and new technologies. We plan schedule and resourcing, execute and monitor Programs in accordance to the software development lifecycle, provide status reporting, and actuals to stakeholders and key decision-makers.

**THE PERSON**:
What you will gain? Working with the latest technologies, Gaming and Workstation Products, as well as Microsoft Project, Jama, JIRA and Confluence. Visibility into sound Program Management methodologies, software engineering practices and processes, organizational and teamwork/behavior, effective collaboration, and communication. Understanding the NPI Product Life Cycle from Concept to Production. International experience working with global AMDers across the globe. Experience in cross-functional Core Team settings, supporting Core Team PM and work with HW Teams, Diagnostics and Manufacturing to complexity of AMD NPI Products

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Scope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW Architects, Technical Leads and SW Engineers
- Work with SW Functional PMs to translate the Technical requirements into SW Functional Specification and decompose the work
- Build a SW program schedule by considering various Driver and SW Stack component dependencies, negotiate and create a Staffing Plan that supports the schedule
- Support SW Technical Leads and key Engineers to drive technical innovations in pre-Silicon verification using a variety of validation tools
- Track Features Enablement progress by comparing the actual progress against the plan
- Report Progress weekly to SW Management and drive corrective actions when required.
- Drive Driver quality with respective SW Teams to achieve zero defects in production code

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:
Technical:

- Engineering, preference in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or Mathematics
- Combination of strong Technical background with interest in Program/Project Management
- Strong understanding of Computer architecture with exposure to Device Drivers, Firmware, Graphics technology
- Experience with Microsoft Project or other planning tool an asset
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence and MS Teams an asset

Process-Oriented:

- Mindset for project management and software development lifecycles and processes
- Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management, ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items
- Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders

General:

- Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed oriented and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times
- Understanding of the semi-conductor market and experience in its respective technical customer support an asset

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- Undergraduate Degree, preference for Engineering, Computer or Electrical Engineering, or Math
- Management Science option as asset
