**Job Description**:
The basic objective of the employee is to issue/deliver goods to user areas. The incumbent is responsible for checking pre-determined par levels in the user areas and issue/deliver stock to user areas.

The Supply Worker will be expected to workday, evening and weekend shifts.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary Responsibilities
- Receive shipments of purchased goods, validate count against packing slip and Purchase Order.
- Inspect freight upon arrival, document any signs of damage, and resolve freight claims with vendors in a timely manner.
- Complete transactions to receive product, process paperwork and complete all necessary transactions according to established procedures.
- Deliver stock to Materials Management or other departments or units as required.
- Operate electric and manual pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move inventory throughout the hospital.
- Assist Buyers to resolve inquires related to receipt of goods and related matters.

Secondary Responsibilities (as directed/assigned)
- Scan assigned units required for replenishment per an established daily Replenishment Schedule
- Replenish inventories in top-up area in assigned units by scanning bar codes and picking items from both Carousel and Bulk.
- Inspect stock storage areas to ensure that necessary materials/supplies are available in user areas - check for out of stocks.
- Handle telephone requests from user areas on a daily basis.
- Deliver STAT items from stores when requested.
- Ensure stock is rotated and dates are checked to avoid Expiry costs.
- Maintain a top-up area and Stores work area that is neat and tidy.
- Execute stock changes as directed by Stores supervisor
- Make labels for items requested by user areas and as directed by Stores Supervisor
- Perform routine cycle counts to preserve Inventory integrity and assist in expiry prevention.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Criminal Record Check (Essential)
- Grade 12 Diploma (Essential)
- Recognized course in supply or material management (preferred)
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills (Essential)
- Previous experience in stores or inventory control (Essential)
- Bilingualism (English & French) (preferred)
- Previous computer experience (Essential)
- Ability to push or pull heavy carts and lift heavy boxes (Essential)
- Ability to deal with staff, deliver personnel and others in a courteous and pleasant manner (Essential)
- Ability to work varying shifts (hours our work) as required by department operations (Essential)
