Bread and Pastry Baker

Receiver Coffee Company is on the lookout for passionate, experienced bakers to join our team at the Milky Way location. If you love early mornings, fresh dough, and working with top-quality ingredients, we’d love to hear from you

Baked goods are prepared daily on site from scratch - _**relevant from scratch baking experience is necessary but we can train for specific bread baking skills.**_

**Responsibilities**
- Open the bakery early in the morning
- Clean kitchen equipment and tools
- Weigh flour and other ingredients to prepare dough
- Shape and bake various types of breads
- Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
- Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies
- Shape dough to prepare different types of pastries, including croissants, cookies and sweet rolls
- Prepare custom-made pastries for retail and wholesale
- Track food supplies and place orders as needed
- Maintain a positive, polite and professional approach with coworkers and customers
- Set up and clean station according to restaurant protocol
- Comply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standards
- Ensure quality and freshness of ingredients and products
- Perform additional tasks as assigned

**Required Skills and Experiences**
- Food Safety Certificate
- WHIMIS Certificate
- 1 Year commercial bakery experience

**Beneficial Skills and Experiences**
- 2+ Years commercial bakery experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Bakery and pastry training/education

**Physical Requirements**
- Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40lbs
- Frequent turning and reaching
- Constant use of both hands with frequent wrist rotation
- 9-11 hour shifts

**You must have your own transportation to get to and from the shop as bus transportation will not be available during working hours.**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
