**General Information**:
Hitachi Energy High Voltage Products (PGHV) is a leader in high-voltage technology, offering a wide range of high-voltage products up to 1,200-kilovolt (kV). We help to enhance the safety, reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. Our technology leadership continues to facilitate innovations in areas such as ultra-high-voltage power transmission, enabling smart grids and enhancing eco-efficiency.

You will play a key role in project and financial controlling within the PGHV High Voltage Products business in Canada. Reporting to the Local Business Unit Controller High Voltage Products Canada you will be actively driving project performance while providing valuable support and guidance in all financial matters for the Domestic Sales and Service Product Group. Business controlling support ac-counts for 50% of the workload.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing input on project execution planning and coordinating all financial aspects, financial accounting & reporting of projects, including project site accounting.
- Driving optimization of project cash flow & revenues while maintain accuracy of project balance sheet, income statement and monthly/quarterly forecast along with Project Manager.
- Participating in opportunities & risks identification and monitoring all required mitigation actions to ensure timely implementation along with Project Review Team. Certification training will be provided to take part in project risk review
- Providing support on claim management, back charges and insurance cases and monitoring proper follow-up.
- Leading monthly/quarterly financial project reviews & participating in monthly financial business reviews.
- Supporting Local Business Unit Controller in controlling tasks such as monthly and quarterly closings, financial & management reporting, budget, forecast, full cost model establishment, financial process optimization and ad-hoc requests.
- Supporting adherence and ensuring compliance to external regulatory requirements, corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter and business-specific finance directives & instructions.

**Qualifications**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA designation will be considered an asset.
- More than 5 years of relevant experience in a project-based business environment.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems and financial reporting software, including SAP and MS Office. Experience with SAP’s PS module will be considered an asset.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and ability to multitask.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
